Artist residencies & Plein-Air sessions

An artist residency is an opportunity provided by a host organisation that facilitates an environment, away from the artist's studio so they can create artwork on-site to find new compositions and inspiration that they wouldn't normally encounter.

Plein-Air sessions

En-plein-air , or plein-air painting, is the act of painting outdoors. It allows the artist to get away from the confines of the studio environment and gain inspiration from what they see in the natural, outdoor environment; a practice championed by the Impressionists such as Monet, Renoir, Sisley and Bazille.

Tim can be seen painting around Nottinghamshire, either on his own or with his fellow artists from the Nottingham Painters Collective using watercolour, pencil or oils.
